The Women of the Word Ministry meets on the Second Friday of each month (before the Third Sunday) at 7:30 p.m. All women are invited to join.

WOMEN OF THE WORD

 

Mission Statement

As Women of the Word Building on the Foundation of Jesus Christ, we will continually strive to become spiritually mature and devoted women of God…to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ. We will endeavor to enrich the lives of our sisters by being a safe place of encouragement.

 

Purpose

The purpose of the Women of the Word Ministry is to enhance our spiritual walk with the Lord our God so that we are able to spiritually accept and move beyond the past, to joyfully embrace our present walk that God has ordained, and to strengthen our faith for future ministry. To build self-esteem, spiritual confidence and to equip each woman with the Christian knowledge necessary to foster stronger relationships in support of husbands, family members, and friends.

 

Description of Responsibilities

To provide each woman the opportunity to gain a thorough knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.

• To help each woman overcome pain, hurt, abuse, and heartache by teaching them how to apply the Word of God to specific areas of their lives
• To help each woman find value, self-worth, and a spiritual meaning for her life through Jesus Christ
• To help each woman find unconditional love and acceptance in her life through building a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ
• To provide each woman the biblical foundation needed to create and nurture a more Godly home
• To provide each woman biblical principles and scriptural guidance that will enhance her ability to raise or mentor Godly children
• To provide spiritual tools necessary to foster productive relationship with friends, family members and co-workers
• To provide an avenue for each woman to become actively involved or personally committed to some church ministry according to their God given gift(s)
• To provide training designed to equip women with the ability to become more personally involved in ministering to other women
• To provide women the opportunity to grow through leadership training, practice and experience.
