PRISON MINISTRY

Mission Statement

The Neabsco Baptist Church Prison Ministry, in response to Jesus’ command to “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel”, and again, in response to His admonition to visit “Him” in the prisons, endeavor to carry the “good news” of salvation through Jesus Christ to the unsaved in our State’s correctional facilities, as well as messages of encouragement to those who are of the body of faith in the same.

Vision Statement

That Jesus Christ’s transforming grace and truth is manifested in the lives of prisoners and their families. Through outreach and evangelizing the Neabsco Baptist Church and Prison Ministry partner in Christ’s work to restore prisoners tocommunity and Church as contributing members, bearing witness that no life is beyond the reach of God’s power. Through building on the foundation of Jesus Christ that prisoners model a life acceptable to God in service, fellowship, worship.

Statement of Faith: We believe that all people are lost sinners and cannot see the Kingdom of God except through the new birth. Justification is by grace through faith in Christ alone.

Scriptural Reference: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
