Pastor Joshua W. Speights, Jr.

 

 

 Joshua and Ruby SpeightsPastor Speights was licensed to preach at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Rich, Mississippi in 1975, and was ordained at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Honolulu, Hawaii in 1981. He has served as an associate minister or executive minister to the congregations of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Honolulu, Hawaii; Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, San Pedro, California; Dale City Christian Church, Dale City, Virginia; and Little Union Baptist Church, Dumfries, Virginia. Pastor Speights has served as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Waipahu, Hawaii and First Baptist Church Watson, Leesburg, Virginia.

Pastor Speights received an Associates of Science Degree in Electronics Technology from Gavlin College, Gilroy, California, a Bachelor of Arts in Management from National Louis University, Evanston, Illinois, a Masters of Science in Management from National Louis University, Evanston, Illinois, and a Masters of Science in Information Technology Management fro m Colorado Technology University, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Pastor Speights is currently matriculating at Trinity Bible College and Theological Seminary, Newburg, Indiana and is a candidate to receive the Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry. Pastor Speights current affiliations are: Immediate past President, Baptist Ministers Conference of Northern Virginia and Vicinity; President, Northern Virginia Ministers Deacons and Laymen’s Union; Life Member of the Northern Virginia Baptist Association, Inc. and member of the Commission on Social and Civic Action, Northern Virginia Baptist Association, Inc.

Pastor Speights is currently employed by the U.S. Department of Treasury at Community Development Financial Institutions Fund where he is serving as the Acting Chief Information Officer.

Pastor Speights is blessed to have as a wife First Lady Rubbie Speights. First Lady Speights is a graduate of George Mason University where she received a Masters of Art in Education, and is currently an educator within the Prince William County School District. Pastor and First Lady Speights have two children, Niesha Speights-Burno and Joshua Speights III, son-in-law David Burno and two grandchildren, Chloe Speights and Josiah Burno.
