What We Believe

 What We Believe

At Neabsco Baptist Church, we believe and teach the Gospel: that God created men and women in His image to live in relationship with Him, but all people have rebelled against God and chosen a life of sin instead. God, in his mercy, sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to bear the consequences of our sins and to restore our relationship with Him.

Do you want to have a relationship with God? The resources below will explain in more detail how this is possible through the forgiveness that God offers through his son, Jesus Christ.

The Gospel

What is the gospel? It seems like a simple question, yet it has been known to incite some heated responses, even in the church. How are we to formulate a clear, biblical understanding of the gospel? Tradition, reason, and experience all leave us ultimately disappointed. If we want answers, we must turn to the Word of God..Matthew 6:33

Who Is Jesus

As men and women both inside and outside the church some have become increasingly confused about what they believe and why, it is imperative that we make sure that we have a solid grasp of the "essentials." Nowhere is this more necessary than in the matter of the person and work of Jesus Christ. It is essential that we are able to clearly answer the questions: What did He say? What does it mean and what does it matter?

 1 Peter 3:15

Descipleship

Becoming a follower of Jesus is not like adding optional extras to an already complete life – rather, it is the essential element to be complete.

Daily Manna from the 'Net [KJV] - Daily Manna from the 'Net for Thursday, December 31, 2009 [Mark 2:7-12]
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. Mark 2:7-12 KJV
