WOMEN OF THE WORD

MINISTRY

(W.O.W.)

Vision

The vision of the Women's Ministry is to bring women together in Christ for encouragement, service and spiritual growth. Our hope is that as women, we will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; that we can be a vessel that God can use in healing, encouragement, and equipping women for the work of the ministry. We encourage women to use their gifts to serve the body of Christ.

Mission Statement

As Women of the Word united in faith and service to God,  our mission is to enable women to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and to help them fulfill their respective responsibilities to family, church and community. Minister to our women and young girls while helping them to grow spiritually and develop a mature and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. Help them identify their spiritual gifts, talents and abilities.  Empower women to step out boldly to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to support our Church mission of Building on the Foundation of Jesus Christ . You could inform your visitors about your ministery to your older ladies. Give them a pathway to follow.

Purpose

The purpose of the Women of the Word Ministry is to meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the women of Neabsco Baptist Church and our community.  To encourage and equip each other for the application of our faith, reflecting Christ's love in our service to the Lord, His Church, and His world. To empower women to know their potential through the Holy Spirit. Teach women to be leaders in their homes, church and community. To be awesome examples of women committed to the will, the way, the work and the word of God.

Welcome Ladies!

The Women's Ministry of Neabsco Baptist Church would love for you to be a part of our ministry. Please join us as we serve and fellowship together! Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any help to you, or if you have any questions.

"Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25, NIV)

Our Prayer

Lord, I pray for a spirit of compassion. Help me to care about the needs of others and have genuine love for the ones I serve. Pour into me Your caring, kind Spirit, so I can be a blessing and minister out of a full heart. Fill me to overflowing so my ministry will be effective, growing, and blessed. May I walk in Your graciousness with a heart to serve. God you are so amazing! You said we would do even greater things than you accomplished while on earth. I pray for great faith and strong commitment that I may be a part of doing Your greater works. Empower me to help in whatever way You call me to. Help me to be a friend who loves at all times, even when I may not feel like it. Teach me how to love with my words and my actions – to be encouraging and supportive. Show me how to bring joy to others in tangible ways, with a phone call, a hug, or a deed this is meaningful to my friend. Help me to let my light so shine that (wo)men might see my good works and give you all the glory, honor and praise You so richly deserve. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Daily Manna from the 'Net [KJV] - Daily Manna from the 'Net for Thursday, December 31, 2009 [Mark 2:7-12]
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. Mark 2:7-12 KJV
