OUTREACH MINISTRIES

PRISON FELLOWSHIP

Vision Statement

Our vision is that Jesus Christ’s transforming grace and truth is manifested in the lives of prisoners and their families. Through outreach and evangelizing,  the Neabsco Baptist Church and Prison Ministry partner in Christ’s work to restore prisoners to the community and Church as contributing members, bearing witness that no life is beyond the reach of God’s power. Through building on the foundation of Jesus Christ we seek that prisoners model a life acceptable to God in service, fellowship, worship.

Mission Statement

The Neabsco Baptist Church Prison Ministry, in response to Jesus’ command to “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel”, and again, in response to His admonition to visit “Him” in the prisons, endeavor to carry the “good news” of salvation through Jesus Christ to the unsaved in our State’s correctional facilities, as well as messages of encouragement to those who are of the body of faith in the same.

Statement of Faith: We believe that all people are lost sinners and cannot see the Kingdom of God except through the new birth. Justification is by grace through faith in Christ alone.

Scriptural Reference: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15) “Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” (Matthew 25:36).

Daily Manna from the 'Net [KJV] - Daily Manna from the 'Net for Thursday, December 31, 2009 [Mark 2:7-12]
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. Mark 2:7-12 KJV
